Set in the scenic village of Braemar, Scotland, famed for the Braemar Gathering annual highland games and the Cairngorms National Park. Russell Sage Studio was appointed to redesign its 46 bedrooms and suites, create two restaurants, a large public bar, a spa and event space – and ensure it returns to 5-star luxury. Alongside the respectful restoration of the Victorian lodge, the studio has worked alongside Hauser & Wirth to install a series of carefully selected artworks from its collection.
