Adjacent to Tower 42 and overlooked by his larger restaurant City Social many storeys above, chef Jason Atherton’s idea to create a very British take on a New York deli experience offered Russell Sage Studio an opportunity to design a cocktail bar and informal dining room with a strong visual identity. Despite it being a simple, contemporary space, the studio added plenty of personality with touches of New York heritage, basic graphics on bar furniture, colourful Anglepoise lamps, walls pasted in vintage tour posters and in the upstairs dining room, great views of a busy open kitchen.
